Резюме:The integration of Ukraine with the electricity sector of the EU countries is possible only if strict requirements to the electricity quality parameters are met, which must be within the permissible levels established in the relevant regulatory documents. Unfortunately, there is currently no similar data for Ukraine, since the problem of the power quality is systematically dealt with only by scientists, and this despite the fact that losses from low-quality power tend to increase annually. Power quality problems have attracted the comprehensive attention of many leading researchers, power producers, and power consumers. Recently, because of a significant change in the structure of the electricity generation and distribution system, with the popularization of small renewable energy power plants, the power quality has met new problems. Connection of a large number of wind and photovoltaic plants at the level of private households create conditions for reducing the quality of electric current at the level of distortion of the sinusoidal voltage form. In addition, the deterioration of the power quality occurs both due to a significant number of disturbances caused by transient processes (surges and sags of voltage, impulse interference) and in stable modes (harmonic distortions, asymmetry, etc.). Of all the problems, harmonic distortions are described in the most detail in this article. The causes of the distortion of the shape of the sinusoidal periodic current curve and the impact of the distortion on the quality of electric energy are considered and analyzed. The efficiency and reliability of the functioning of all electrical energy receivers and consumers, without exception, significantly depends on the quality of electrical energy. The measures for reducing the voltage non-sinusoidality and ensuring electromagnetic compatibility of consumers are analyzed, etc.
