Резюме:The purpose of the article is to establish the regularities of the daily and seasonal dynamic of the wind shear coefficient at the site of the operating wind power plant and its influence on the electricity production forecast. Seasonal and diurnal fluctuations of the vertical wind shear coefficient α for a period of 1 year (50,831 series of unique measurements) for eight rhumbs were investigated in the paper. It was found that the use of the average coefficient α for each of eight rhumbs allows to reduce the average relative error of the wind speed on the upper sensor from 6.39 % to 3.90 %; usage the seasonal variability of the vertical profile parameter α leads to reducing the average relative error to 3.78 %, and taking into account the daily variability - to 3.20 %. Since the average wind speeds are in the range of intensive changes in the power of wind turbines, the specified errors in the wind speed determination lead to a significant increase in errors in the calculations of power and electricity production of wind turbines. Thus, at a wind speed close to 8 m/s, a 3 % reduction in the calculated wind speed error will lead to a 7-8 % reduction in the value of the electricity production error, depending on the type of wind turbine. For modern wind energy, such clarification is considered to be essential, that determines the practical value of the proposed study.
