Vidnovluvana energetika| Zusammenfassung: | Methods of hydrogen compression or liquefaction under the influence of low temperatures are most often used to store hydrogen. Underground storage of hydrogen is considered the most economical and safe option for its storage in large volumes. Ukraine has significant reserves of potash, potash-magnesium and table salt. Explored reserves of rock salt in Ukraine exceed 2.3 billion tons. The article defines the main characteristics of five salt-bearing basins, provides a list of salt deposits that are explored, developed or are in the stage of liquidation. Based on the analysis of literature data, the criteria for the selection of sites suitable for the construction of underground hydrogen storage facilities in salt deposits have been determined. A method of hydrogen production at the expense of solar and wind energy sources with its subsequent accumulation in rock salt deposits is proposed. The main problem of this method is a significant decrease in the temperature of hydrogen at the compressor outlet. Cooling of hydrogen is proposed to be carried out with the help of surface or ground water.
