The purpose of the work is to analyze the current problems of renewable energy, in particular wind energy, based on the results of the materials of the 24th International Scientific and Practical Conference "Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency in the 21st Century". The abstracts of the reports were considered and the main achievements were ana-lyzed in the following main directions: assessment of the current state of wind energy in Ukraine; assessment of wind po-tential and forecasting of electricity generation by a wind power plant; theoretical studies; condition of wind turbines and means of diagnosing them; electric power equipment of wind turbines; promising and non-traditional wind turbines. The prospects and directions of further research are outlined and it is noted that despite the fact that Ukraine is in a state of war, the development of wind energy in Ukraine took place both in terms of the construction of new wind power plants and further scientific research.
