Zusammenfassung:Agro-photovoltaics is a new technology that combines solar energy production with crop production. This article discusses the prospects for modern agriculture, which faces the challenges of climate change and the growing need for energy efficiency. The Agri-PV (agro-photovoltaics) technology aims to improve the efficiency of the use of the land surface area of the agricultural sector through the synergistic combination of renewable energy sources (RES) and agriculture. This implies the installation of photovoltaic panels at a certain height, depending on the type of crop grown, above the fields of agricultural land. In this context, agro-photovoltaics offers an innovative, efficient and cost-effective product solution for simultaneously promoting sustainable agriculture and the transition to clean energy. Starting with an overview of agro-photovoltaics technology, the paper explores how precisely integrated photovoltaic modules between crops not only generate electricity, but also improve the conditions for plant growth by protecting them from extreme weather conditions and providing an optimal microclimate. The article also highlights various case studies from around the world where agro-photovoltaics has already been implemented and is showing positive results. From farms in Europe to apple orchards in Germany, the study demonstrates how agro-photovoltaics increases land use efficiency, reduces water consumption, and increases overall productivity. In addition, the article discusses the goals of the Common Agricultural Policy, which aim to improve the environment, climate and productivity. This comprehensive approach provides readers with a deeper understanding of the complexity and multifunctionality of agro-photovoltaics. Clarification of the criteria for evaluating Agri-PV projects will allow us to understand what designers and deve-lopers of these systems focus on at the design stage and implementation of ready-made solutions in real life, focusing on the areas of agriculture, environment, socio-economic sector, and life cycle assessment.
