Summary: | This work explores the possibility of expanding the use of solar energy potential for green hydrogen production in Ukraine using photovoltaic stations as the primary energy source. The increas-ing popularity of electric vehicles, such as traditional battery electric vehicles, hybrid and fuel cell electric vehicles, creates a demand for efficient green hydrogen refueling systems. The authors
analyze various implementation options of autonomous photovoltaic hydrogen production systems, including schemes with one or two buffer batteries to guarantee the needs of fuel cell vehicles. The importance of using renewable energy sources to compensate for irregular hydrogen production and ensure continuous supply for electric vehicles is highlighted. The results of the calculations show that the implementation of such systems is reasonable and promising for the development of eco-friendly transport in Ukraine. The study provides justification for the necessary capacity of charging station and the volume of hy-drogen storage to optimize hydrogen production and consumption in variable energy situations. |
