Vidnovluvana energetikaРезюме: | The purpose of the paper is estimation of the possible numerical indicators that would provide an objective assessment of the electricity storage systems in the presence of non-guaranteed renewable energy sources. The need for energy storage is due to the growing share of renewable generation with unstable capacity. A peculiarity of the problem is the random nature of renewable energy and electricity consumption as parts of the local power system. Energy storage units of the battery type as power balancing equipment are considered. There are variety of approaches to the quality assessment of the storage systems which have a need for their verification. A simulation model was used to estimate the numerical indicators of the operation of storage systems, and the results were verified on the example of actual data on the operation of a real power system. The components of the power balance are described as random processes presented in the form of a time series. The results of the application of several criteria as operational risk indices, the normalized swing method (Hurst's index), and the time series criterion were studied. As examples there were considered some local energy systems consisting of different renewable electricity sources. The capacity of the storage systems varied in a wide range, from absence to the most appropriate level of cumulative imbalance between energy generation and consumption. It was established that there are a stable connection between certain numerical indicators and the quality of energy sup-ply with a certain reliability.
