Zusammenfassung:The participants of the XXV International Scientific and Practical Conference "Renewable energy and energy effi-ciency in the 21st century" reviewed modern energy-efficient technologies, methods and technical solutions for the use and transformation of various types of renewable energy sources. The article presents reports dedicated to researching the problems and prospects of renewable energy, in particular complex energy systems based on the use of renewable energy sources. Perspectives of European and domestic energy policies, the implementation of energy management, new models for energy systems with a high share of renewable generation, simulation modeling of the behavior of complex energy systems, modern technologies for the production and distribution of electricity, a comprehensive approach to bal-ancing electricity generation and consumption, and the restoration and development of municipal infrastructure, including utility energy systems, during and post-war periods were discussed. Promising directions for future scientific research were proposed.
