Vidnovluvana energetika| Zusammenfassung: | Phytoremediation of technologically damaged soils by means of energy crops is an innovative strategy. Plant biomass, obtained in course of remediation, is consid-ered as a renewable energy source. The aim of this paper is the evaluation energetic potential of sea buckthorn plants, grown on technologically damaged oil-polluted soils. Biomass studied was collected on the experimental phytoremediation sites and its capabilities as fuel. Moisture content of biomass after collection was equal 40,68%. It enables both natural and artificial conditioning of raw material for further fuel production. Ash content equals 1,40%, heat of combustion – 20,60 MJ/kg. Heavy metal content in 4-year old plants does not exceed permitted values for solid biofuel, therefore biomass of sea buckthorn plants, grown on oil-polluted soils can be used for production of solid fuel (pellets, briquettes), compliant with international certification scheme ENPlus. Expected productivity of tree biomass of Hyppophae rhamnoides was calculated. It was shown that 4-years old recultivation plantation can produce 20-25 ton/ha of wood biomass, 6-years old – 35-40 ton/ha, equivalent to 412-515 GJ/ha and 721-824 GJ/ha respectively. Therefore sea buckthorn is promising fast-growing tree species with high energetic potential for production of solid biofuel and possibility to grow them on degraded oil polluted soils. |
