Based on the results of the analysis of existing methods for controlling the state of charge of energy storage, it is concluded that it is impossible to use existing methods to control the current state of charge of en-ergy storage due to their inherent shortcomings. The purpose of this work is to de- velop a method for controlling the current state of charge of electrochemical energy storage to increase the effi- ciency of its energy use in dynamic operating modes by the values of the kinetic parameters of the electrochemical process. Research methods are a comparative analysis of the shortcomings of existing methods for controlling the state of charge of electrochemical energy storages to select a method for assessing the current state of charge by the value of the kinetic parameters of the electrochemical process; selection of a method for mathematical pro- cessing of the response signal of the energy storage to obtain the necessary kinetic parameters for assessing and controlling the current state of charge. Based on the analysis of the shortcomings of existing methods for control- ling the state of charge and existing meth-ods for processing the response signal, a pulsed galvanostatic method for controlling the current state of charge has been developed based on the use of the time constant of the depo- larization process, ex-tracted from the response signal of the storage to a current pulse, as an informative kinetic parameter. For the mathematical analysis of the depolarization process, a wavelet transformation of the depolari- zation curve into the time-frequency plane was applied using the Haar wavelet as an information pa-rameter. The expediency of the developed method is theoretically substantiated and experimentally confirmed.
