Description
Summary:The article is devoted to the development of electrical models of photovoltaic power systems using solar radiation concentrators. The work shows the ways of developing photovoltaic systems in the direction of concentrating solar radiation for further generation of electrical energy. The role of modeling of photovoltaic energy sources, especially sources with optical concentrators, is noted. The work considers the main design features of solar radiation concentrators and their schemes. It is shown that in such schemes it is necessary to use highly efficient photovoltaic modules, for example, based on multilayer structures. Based on the electrical models for standard photovoltaic solar energy converters, the work developed electrical models of photovoltaic sources with solar radiation concentrators that irradiate photovoltaic cells with horizontal multilayer and vertical multilayer semiconductor structures. The electrical model of a photovoltaic source with a vertical multilayer photovoltaic cell has been further simplified. It was noted that electrical models allow modeling of photovoltaic sources of various designs using standard electrical and electronic modeling software. It was also emphasized that concentrated solar radiation can be used in cogeneration energy sources, i.e. for generating both electrical energy and thermal energy. Conclusions were drawn and the advantages and disadvantages of photovoltaic systems with solar radiation concentrators were analyzed.
