Description
Summary:The effective integration of intermittent renewable energy sources into the power grid largely depends on energy storage systems, where second-life batteries are playing an increasingly important role. In this paper, the features of controlling the charging processes of used lithiumion batteries are considered, for which traditional constant current and constant voltage (CC-CV) charging methods are ineffective and accelerate their degradation. The development and proposal of an adaptive charging algorithm based on fuzzy logic are presented. This approach allows optimizing the charging process by taking into account dynamic changes in battery characteristics, such as voltage, current, temperature, state of charge (SoC), battery health (SoH) and state of functioning (SoF). It is shown that the proposed algorithm increases efficiency, safety and significantly increases the service life of batteries compared to traditional methods, adapting to their condition in real time.
