Резюме: The paper is devoted to archaeological research in the territory of one of the oldest districts of an ancient Kyiv — Kopyriv Kinets, where the settlement of the 11th century was discovered and explored. It included the complex of following objects: a yard with dwellings and farmhouses that were fortified with a ditch and picket fence and a non-fortified part with fixed residential buildings, as well as a complex with residential, industrial and economic facilities located at the edge of the slope. Among the explored manufacturing facilities discovered during archaeological research 2016—2017 on the street Kudriavska, 24-a, by constructive features the several facilities were allocated, in which, in our opinion, there could have been processing of agricultural products, in particular, drying of sheaves and the fuming of meat and fish. The location of such flammable objects at the edge of the settlement or beyond is typical not only for the Ancient Rus period, but also for the Late Middle Ages.
