Data Recording, Storage & Processing| Резюме: | Some aspects of the semantic context actualization for corporate intelligent systems’ common information space are under consideration.
Interoperability and semantic coherence of disparate components that form the general information space of modern corporate intelligent systems is based on ontological models of the subject area. Components of corporate intelligent system IT architecture, or as they may be called, IT resources, in turn, may have their own partial ontology. The set of such models and their mutual reflections will be called semantic layer of a common information space.
Dynamic world motivates modifying existed semantic model of such a system according to the continuous changes of different parts of its IT–resources. This modification is hard to do manually, as semantic of such an information spaces often has the set of ontology and their mutual mappings.
As a partial ontology comes to a new state, the dependent ontology may become invalid. During ontology enrichment or other changing activity, modifications to the ontology are made and it evolves from one state to another without preserving information about the previous state. This makes it harder to refer to the previous state. That is why all the changes should be preserved in some computer readable form. Moreover, the role of change history information becomes critical when it is necessary revert the changes. Other aspects, such as IT-resources' change traceability and visualizations of its effect to all dependent ontology changes, must be taken into consideration as well.
The general idea is to provide some hybrid mechanism for time–tracking down changes of IT-resources and carry them into proper ontology, then extend the changes to all dependent ontology with confidence that there were no integrity or compatibility violations. In particular, the objective is to work on IT-resource ontology change management and visualization of changes and their effects on a dependent set of partial ontology. There are some challenges in semantic model integrity support connected with changes, as elementary process of changing may fire another change task or even sequence of such a tasks.
In addition, the sources and types of changes in ontological models, identifies the main tasks performed in the process of making changes is considered. There is also a list of existing methods and approaches to performing certain tasks. Tabl.: 1. Refs: 15 titles. |
