Дослідження кінематики Звенигородсько-Братської та Кіровоградської розломних зон Інгульського мегаблока Українського щита актуальні в плані вивчення геодинамічних процесів, які відіграли важливу роль у формуванні родовищ корисних копалин Кіровоградського рудного району. Потужним поштовхом для детального вивчення рудного району стало відкриття тут уранових родовищ. Також було знайдено та вивчено родовища і рудопрояви золота і рідкісних металів. Нині центральна частина Інгульського мегаблока розглядається як одна з основних площ для розширення мінерально-сировинних ресурсів країни. S.
