Проанализировано изменение уровня рождаемости в Донецкой области в течение 2005–2010 гг., учитывая государственную социальную политику. Рассмотрены взаимосвязь между уровнем рождаемости и наполняемостью общеобразовательных учреждений, оптимизация школьной сети (а именно закрытие школ) как мера, которая применяется в сфере образования в связи с реализацией реформы и направлена на уменьшение расходов на содержание общеобразовательных школ и повышение качества обучения. Дан прогноз последствий от ее применения, учитывая нынешний уровень рождаемости и демографическую ситуацию. Проаналізовано зміну рівня народжуваності в Донецькій області протягом 2005–2010 рр., враховуючи державну соціальну політику. Розглянуто зв’язок між рівнем народжуваності і функціонуванням загальноосвітніх закладів, їх наповнюваністю, оптимізацію мережі шкіл (а саме закриття шкіл) як захід, який впроваджується у зв’язку з реалізацією реформи і спрямований на зниження витрат з утримання загальноосвітніх закладів і підвищення якості освіти. Прогнозовано наслідки від впровадження цього заходу, враховуючи нинішній рівень народжуваності і демографічну ситуацію. V.
