Surface| Summary: | Direct assembly of quaternary ammonium groups onto surfaces of halogenoalkylsilicas in the presence of triethylamine has been realized. Chemical fixation of quaternary ammonium groups by copolymerization reaction between vinylsilica and vinylbenzyltrimethylammonium chloride has been proposed. Adsorption of cholic acid as dependent on duration, pH, ionic strength, and equilibrium concentration has been studied. Constants of ion exchange, aggregation, and stability for adsorption of cholic acid on silicas modified with quaternary ammonium groups have been calculated. Advantages of silica adsorbents over cholestyramine used in medicinal practice for regulation of a content of bile acids in a living body have been demonstrated. |
