Summary:To describe the adsorption hysteresis in open slit-like micropores, the theory based on the scaling concept for the variation of the relative pressure of adsorbate in the bulk phase at the adsorption and desorption branches of the hysteresis loop is proposed. The equations obtained from this theory are applied to some adsorption systems leading to a reasonable agreement between the calculated values and experimental data.
