Tooling materials science| Zusammenfassung: | The applied significance is noted of the coating as a way to improve the performance of products of different functional purposes, in particular abrasive tools. It is stated that an important characteristic of the cover is its thickness. A review of existing publications has shown that ensuring the optimal value of this characteristic allows to achieve the maximum positive effect from the use of products with a coating applied to their surface. Methodological components of indirect-analytical determination of coating thickness are analyzed. It is proposed to use an ellipsoid as a 3D model of abrasive powder grains in the calculation scheme of such a definition. The results of a comparative study of the thickness of the coating due to the use of an ellipsoid, a sphere and a cube as possible 3D analogues of grain are presented. |
