Summary:The purpose of the work is improving of  the technology of isolation of the drilling wells horizons by analyzing and consolidating of the acting technologies of elimination of the absorption fluid, using thermoplastic plugging materials. Methodology and scientific approaches. To solution of the study tasks the complex approach, including the as analysis and generalization of literary and patent sources, and analytical and experimental research as well was used. Novelty is the development of the theory and practice of using plugging thermoplastic materials, particularly the prospects of new plugging material which using an effect of the inverse two-phase transition of the polymer-based binder, to create a plug stone, were considered. Practical value. The results of the work create the basis for the development of more advanced technologies to eliminate of well fluid absorption zones; development of new materials using the phase transition phenomena of plugging material; production of  new plugging thermoplastic materials; development of technological regulations for the isolation of absorbing horizons. The results of work will be applicated for preparing specialists in drilling wells. Originality/value. Nowdays, thermoplastic materials using not widely application as plugging materials due to the lack of realable technology, unstable physical and mechanical properties and to some extent carcinogenicity of their components. Theoretical substantiation of possibility of use such materials for well insulation were carried out herein. The prospects of further use of such materials are shown.
