Tooling materials science| Zusammenfassung: | The aim of the work is to determine the influence of the support surface size of the punches on the level of the generated pressure in the six-punch cubic apparatus and the limit state of the punches. Computer modeling using the finite element method of compression of a pyrophyllite container between punches with a different diameter of the supporting surface has been carried out, and the stress-strain and limit states of the container and punches in the process of deformation have been investigated. It is shown that the support surface size has practically no effect on the pressure distribution generated in the container. Decreasing in the size leads to increasing in the magnitude of equivalent stresses in the region on the axis of symmetry above the flat section of the working surface. Therefore, it is impractical to significantly reduce the size of the support surface of the punches. |
