Tooling materials science| Резюме: | A new direction in the development of new types of micropowders for pastes is to modify the grain surface of micropowders with heat-resistant inorganic non-metallic coatings (soluble and insoluble oxides, chlorides and carbides, which was activated by mechanochemical method).
The technology has been developed, the necessary components have been selected, and their ratios have been selected for the optimal composition of solid pastes of modified micropowders of synthetic diamond with a heat-resistant coating.
In accordance with the developed technology, samples of hard abrasive pastes were made from modified micropowders of synthetic diamond of ASM 3/2 and ASM 5/3 grades.
Pilot tests of samples of pastes showed an increase in the performance of solid pastes by 1.3-1.5 times due to the resistance to heat of thermostable compounds in the coating of abrasive grains.
The process of modifying the surface of grains of synthetic diamond grinding powders and compacts based on cBN micron powders with thermally stable oxides and chlorides of metals and non-metals using the method of liquid-phase deposition is studied. The structural and morphological characteristics of the external structure were studied and the quantitative elemental composition of the surface of modified powders was determined.
