Problems of Control and Informatics| Резюме: | The principles are proposed for developing a methodology and software to evaluate flood areas using satellite data and geographic information systems technology for automated processing of digital information. The methodology base is classification, construction of water surface mask, and automated calculation of areas of flooded zones on the spectral brightness threshold, which is obtained by analyzing of one-dimensional histogram of the spectral brightness in the NIR band. Application of this method is illustrated by assessing of the flooded areas of Lvov, Ivano-Frankovsk and Ternopol regions during the flood in July 2008. |
