The properties of reachability sets of discrete system are substantiated on the basis of which the compactness of maximal set of initial conditions, the properties of its boundaries and interior points are proved. For linear discrete system Minkowski’s function, inverse Minkowski’s function, and support function of maximal set as well as criterion of the point belonging to its boundaries are obtained. The results are algorithmically directed. Обґрунтовано властивості множин досяжності дискретної системи, на основі яких доводиться компактність максимальної множини початкових умов, властивості її границі та внутрішніх точок. Для лінійної дискретної системи отримано функцію Мінковського, обернену функцію Мінковського та опорну функцію максимальної множини, а також критерій приналежності точки до її границі. Результати мають алгоритмічну спрямованість. V.M.
