A comparative analysis of the chemical composition and the level of mechanical properties of standard wheel steels and new wheel steels developed at the PTIMA NAS of Ukraine is carried out. New developed steels have an increased level of impact strength and have strength characteristics at the level of standard steels. This level of properties of the developed steels ensures the reliability and longevity of the wheels.
