Zusammenfassung:The dynamics of ecosystems and evolution are characterized by common general pecularities, dictating the necessity of new paradigm. Basis of new paradigm are conception of multiplicity of the stable states of the biological systems and saltatory transitions from one steady state of the system in alternative one. Current paradigm is based on unicity of point of global stability of the biological systems and prevailing of smooth changes of the system in a neighborhood of point of stability. In the emerging paradigm dynamics of systems (individual, population, community, ecosystem), and its evolution is characterized by two stages - the coherent evolution / dynamics and incoherent. Each of the stages in turn includes two stages. During coherent stage a system realizes a smooth adaptation to the changing environment within the existing norms of reaction; during incoherent stage – there are destabilization of system and its transformation in new state. In dynamics / the evolution of systems there are tipping points, after the passage of which the system can not return to the previous stable state and will inevitably be transformed into a new state. The article deals with the terms and provisions of the new concept; we consider three complementary approaches estimate the proximity of the system to the tipping point.
