Description
Summary:Resulted from the fallout radionuclide composition measurement analysis and the radionuclide content calculations in the pre-accident reactor fuel, the methodology was developed to determine low-concentration actinolite content in fuel of Chornobyl NPP unit 4. The calculation results of specific power of the spontaneous fission neutrons main sources in fuel of Chornobyl NPP unit 4 and spent nuclear fuel of nuclear power plants are presented for different time delay values. The role of transuranium elements with low specific activity is analyzed both in generating neutron fields in irradiated fuel and in forming an exposure dose within the contaminated territories.
