Description
Summary:The article considers the preconditions and grounds for establishing SSTC NRS centers to assess (confirm) the conformity of products supplied for nuclear installations, radioactive waste management facilities, uranium plants, other radiation sources and products with the requirements of technical specifications and on a voluntary basis in accordance with the procedure established by law: SSTC NRS Qualia-Test Conformity Assessment Center and SSTC NRS Testing Center. The main requirements for bodies that assess conformity in a legally regulated area in accordance with the requirements of technical specifications are described. A list of activities performed for the designation of the SSTC NRS Qualia-Test Conformity Assessment Center as a conformity assessment body to perform, as a third party, certain conformity assessment tasks defined in the Technical Specifications for Sealed Radiation Sources and Technical Specifications for Packaging for Storage and Disposal of Radioactive Waste is presented, including activities for accreditation of the centers established in the SSTC NRS in the National Accreditation Agency of Ukraine. The areas of services provided by the SSTC NRS Qualia-Test Conformity Assessment Center and activities performed during the period of its functioning were considered.
