Summary:The article is devoted to solving the problem of obtaining the parameters of equivalent circuits of powerful transformers for their models, which are used in computer programs for modeling electromagnetic processes in electrical systems. The system of passport data of the transformer, which is the most widely used in engineering practice, is used as the initial data. Based on the analysis conducted in the article, a simple formula is substantiated that allows determining the electromagnetic coupling coefficient of the primary and secondary windings of the transformer through the relative values of the short-circuit voltage and the non-operating current. This approach significantly simplifies the further calculation of all other parameters of equivalent circuits of a powerful transformer for any computer programs for modeling electrical systems. The theoretical conclusions presented are confirmed by computer experiments on models in the MATLAB system. Ref. 16, fig. 11.
