Summary:The paper grounds the necessity of biological melioration of soils. Among the efficient means of its improvement, there are the renewal of soils with the organic matter (use of manure, composting of urban and poultry waste products, aftermoving and afterharvesting residues, strict establishment of scientifically based crop rotations); increase of legume crops cultivation area in structure of land utilization in order to optimize soils supply with nitrogen; use of mineral fertilizers in doses which not exceeding the physiological optimum for cultured plants; wide introduction of modern microbial preparations in the agricultural crops growing technologies.
