The conditions for wind energy technologies to de developed essentially in the future are determined. The possible capacity of wind energy objects installation, taking into consideration needed energy system reserves, is estimated up to 2010. Проаналізовано поточний стан розвитку вітроенергетики в Україні. Розглянуто переваги та недоліки технологій виробництва електроенергії на базі використання енергії вітру в порівнянні з традиційними технологіями. Визначено умови, за яких вітроенергетика в перспективі зможе отримати помітний розвиток. Оцінено можливі обсяги впровадження об'єктів вітроенергетики з урахуванням необхідних системних резервів до 2010 р.
