Description
Summary:In geothermal heat supply systems, absorption heat pumps have significant advantages over vapor-compression heat pumps, since they use only thermal energy for operation, while the specific consumption of electrical energy for their own needs is 1–2 % of the installed heat output and have a wider operating temperature range. An important factor in the use of absorption heat pumps is also a significant range of power adjustment of the unit, which ranges from 25 % to 100 % of the rated power. The use of absorption thermotransformers in geothermal heat supply systems makes it possible to increase the depth of operation of the temperature potential of the geothermal fluid, which expands the area of its use in the agricultural industry and helps to extend the cost-effective distance of geothermal heat transportation. The proposed technological scheme of grain drying with heating and dehydration of the drying agent using an absorption heat pump and the use of geothermal energy for its operation makes it possible to reduce the energy consumption for moisture extraction by 1.6 times.
