Резюме:An analysis of the state of modern EPS in industrialized countries has been conducted and established that ensuring operational reliability occurs under conditions of significant aging of the electrical equipment park and limited material resources for investment. The features of ensuring operational reliability of EPS for decentralized generation systems based on RES in Ukraine and the conditions of their application in the process of managing stationary and transient modes in EPS have been determined. It has been established that the decentralization of EPS management through the creation of Smart Grids of various configurations requires research on ensuring operational reliability when planning low-carbon development of the power sector. It has been shown that the most promising method for assessing the operational reliability of EPS when planning sustainable development, which includes both traditional and renewable energy generation facilities, is the use of probabilistic methods and the «n – 1» criterion. An algorithm for evaluating quantitative indicators of the risk of violation of normal mode in case of failures and planned decommissioning of electrical equipment of the EPS subsystem with RES is proposed.
