Description
Summary:The significance of the influence of low-load modes of induction machines in renewable energy systems on the quality of design solutions is substantiated. Taking into account additional factors, refined mathematical models of induction machines at low loads have been developed and their efficiency has been studied in comparison with reference data. The models are compared with the following: losses in steel using equivalent circuits and resistances connected in parallel to the motor input; consideration of the distribution of losses in steel by magnetic field components; changes in the inductive and active parameters of the substitute circuit with load. The patterns of change in inductive impedances are determined based on the results of field analysis. The priority influence of determining the losses in steel by the components of the magnetic field on the accuracy of the analysis of underload modes is revealed, and the consideration of changes in the active resistance of windings with temperature is for modes with machine overload. The influence of refining the mathematical model of underloaded induction machines on the results of model-ling the modes of an induction generator of a small hydroelectric power plant, as well as on the results of complex modelling of a variant of a frequency-controlled pumping unit with a rated power of 1.5 kW powered by solar panels, is investigated. It is shown that when the frequency is reduced by 2.5 times, the pumping unit's productivity changes by 4.4 times and the power consumption by 9.75 times. At the same time, the effect of the refinement changes the estimated value of the system performance by 7.5 %.
