Description
Summary:The effectiveness of modern aircraft (guided weapons) depends on the type of guidance systems. In war conditions, the main requirement for these systems is their autonomy. The study is devoted to the analysis of the effectiveness of the use of two modern autonomous guidance systems for aircraft - correlation-extreme guidance system and systems based on artificial intelligence. It is known that the development and use of systems using artificial intelligence is currently experiencing a real boom, especially in aircraft guidance systems, correlation-extreme systems retain their relevance and in some cases have an advantage over systems with artificial intelligence. The purpose of the work is to conduct a comparative analysis of the effectiveness of correlation-extreme systems and systems based on artificial intelligence for guidance of aircraft. The research applied methods of control theory, comparative analysis and optimization theory and neural networks. The publications considered a wide range of issues regarding the application and development of both guidance systems. However, in the wake of the rapid development of systems based on artificial intelligence, there is concern that it will undeservedly replace the sufficiently effective correlation-extreme guidance systems, some of the advantages of which it has not yet surpassed. The investigation highlights the selection and justification of the efficiency indicators of both machine vision systems. The efficiency is compared application of these systems on the example of receiving at the input of both guidance systems one output image obtained from satellite reconnaissance or from reconnaissance aircraft. The values of the selected performance indicators were obtained through simulation modeling application of both guidance systems. The practical significance of the results lies in increasing the efficiency and speed of aircraft guidance systems by determining the advantages of both guidance systems in specific conditions. Further research will be devoted to the development and justification of appropriate criterion apparatus for quantitative comparison and analytical calculations of the efficiency indicators of both guidance systems specified in the work.
